Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the current version of Revisit handles data. It is based on the app’s implemented permissions and data flows and can be read offline.

Version 1.0 Effective: 2026-08-20 Last updated: 2026-08-20
01

Scope

This policy applies to Revisit on iPhone and iPad, home and lock-screen widgets, Apple Watch, the Share Extension, and related capabilities included in the current build.

02

Data we process

Depending on what you use, this may include events, original opinions, revisit answers, proactive-reflection records and favorites, titles, topics, categories, reminder times, people and location labels, images, links, attachments, mood or health context you choose, lightweight widget and Watch snapshots, quick-capture queues, and import, export, or backup files.

03

Where data is stored

Core records and attachments are stored on-device and, in the regular build, sync through the user’s private iCloud database. The app has no developer-operated server or proprietary account system. App Groups support the Share Extension, widgets, and Watch communication. Data may also be included in backups managed by Apple settings.

04

Permissions

Optional permissions are used only for their stated features: notifications for reminders; Calendar for revisit schedules; device owner authentication for App Lock and protected actions; Health for mood/context you choose to read or write; Photos and Files for selected attachments, import, export, and backup; Share Extension for content you explicitly share into Revisit; widgets and Apple Watch for companion display and quick actions. Refusing a permission disables or limits that feature without blocking core local records.

05

Data sharing

The current app has no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or cross-app tracking SDK and does not sell user data. Widget and Watch device sharing is not an upload to a developer server. Data leaves through actions you initiate, such as sharing, export, email, Calendar synchronization, Health access, or opening a source link. LinkPresentation may contact a linked website to fetch metadata.

06

AI and external tools

Revisit does not automatically send records to generative AI in the background. It can assemble user-selected content into reviewable text locally. Content reaches a third-party tool only after you copy or share it, and that tool’s privacy policy then applies.

07

Export, deletion, and recovery

You can create backups, export data, import or restore supported backups, review Recently Deleted items, restore recoverable items, permanently delete them, or clear local data. Permanent deletion and clearing local data cannot be undone by the app. A backup may contain sensitive content; store it securely.

08

Children and age

Revisit is a private journaling and reflection tool for general audiences. The app does not knowingly operate a child-directed account or advertising service. A parent or guardian should decide whether the app is appropriate where local rules require their involvement.

09

Policy updates

When data flows or product capabilities materially change, this offline policy and its version and dates should be updated. An external policy URL is optional and is not currently configured.
